Lauren E. Melhart

Lauren E. Melhart is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Melhart has extensive experience within the family law field, including several years as a Child Protective Services prosecutor. As a CPS prosecutor, Ms. Melhart received the award for excellence in serving children from Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Trinity Valley. She had 100 percent success rate in jury trials and 100 percent affirmance on all appeals. She also was a felony prosecutor in East Texas with a 100 percent success rate as first chair in jury trials in addition to 100 percent affirmance on all appeals. Ms. Melhart previously taught torts and personal injury law to paralegals at a community college in East Texas.
